Spirit
The Spirit is an equal member of the Triune God. He was sent by Jesus to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to glorify Jesus. Once we put our faith in the righteousness of Jesus, He baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and the Spirit then lives in us and guides us into all truth. We are cleansed, sanctified, and justified by the Spirit if we are in Christ. The Spirit produces His righteous fruit in our lives for us to use to His glory and for the purpose of love. Since we live in the Spirit, we may walk in the Spirit.

Salvation
Because of God's love for us and for His good pleasure He provided a way for us to be saved and have a relationship with Him. It is by faith in the righteousness of Jesus, and by faith alone, that we may be saved. We cannot be saved, nor made righteous through works of the law, but it is our faith that is accounted for righteousness. Jesus is the only name by which we may be saved. In Christ, no one can snatch us out of His hands if we remain steadfast and grounded in the gospel and continue in the faith.

Us
Because we are born into unrighteousness, we must be born again and made righteous through Christ's justification to enter the kingdom of God. Our flesh, or sinful nature, is what Paul calls our "old man," in whom we are to have no confidence, nothing good dwells, and corruption continually grows. When we are born again, we receive a renewed spirit that is separated from and at odds with our flesh. Jesus became sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him. In Christ we have crucified our flesh and it holds no control over our new spiritual nature. All things have been made new and we may now walk in the Spirit, in love, and free from trying to make our flesh better.
